Original thoughts I chose to share:
You are here to enable the divine purpose of the Universe to unfold. Or not.
If you look back far enough, we’re all family.
I asked the universe for the ability not to take things for granted. The universe gave me Parkinson’s. Be careful what you wish for.
I chose to be grateful for grief because one cannot arrive at grief without having first experienced love. Said another way — one cannot get to grief without passing through love. This choice presumes a maturity level that fosters a healthy interaction of thinking mind to feeling heart. I also chose to remember that feelings are real, whether rational or not.
Be there a God or not we still have free will. Willfully choosing to leave the world a better place than it would have been without our existence is a most noble goal. I hope and believe that I did so. Hopefully, I went further, perhaps becoming a prime number in the number set of humanity.
I would prefer a smart ass to a dumb ass any day.

Simple does not equal easy.
You have to do nothing.
Sometimes complex things can be understood in simple terms. But more often things thought simple are actually complex.
Many problems are created when we believe our simple understanding of things are acceptable substitutions for their complex reality. Many benefits/solutions could come from realizing that most simple things are actually complex.
I am certain I could be wrong.
The Golden Rule: Treat others, as you would like to be treated.
The Platinum Rule: Treat others as they want to be treated.
The Titanium Rule: Treat others the way that is best for them to be treated.
Truth is rarely binary. It is beneficial to have the capacity/ability to seek a more sophisticated understanding. Thus, a Truth Continuum. Is a microscope ever wrong? Or does it merely need modification, for example — modify the focus, or adjust/replace the slide?
Americans tend to say “Hello, how are you?” as a greeting, not really looking for an honest answer. I have always tried to thank people who answered the question honestly. Thank you for your honest answers. I will update mine from “Well” to “Trying” to remember that Happiness is a choice, but struggling with choosing it.
St. Francis of Assisi said, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” Gregg’s smartass brain responds, “Unfortunately a gentle wind or the vacuum of space can and will.”

Bertrand Russell
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science.
Charles Darwin, The Descent of Man
“The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”

Foundation for Inner Peace, A Course in Miracles
The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.
Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms
Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.
John Lennon
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

To Look is one thing.
To see what you look at is another.
To understand what you see is a third.
To learn from what you understand is still something else
But to act on what you learn is all that really matters.

Though much is taken, much abides, and though we
are not now that strength which in old days
moved Earth and Heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to
strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.

I know that no matter what happens – I can handle it. And if I can’t handle it, I can handle that.

Sometimes it seems to me that she heard the murmuring pain of all things that grow in the sun, and that then she lifted them up and supported them, not only by her own knowledge, but also by disclosing to them their own power to rise and become whole.

All glory to this Supreme Creative Pulsation of Consciousness which is the abode of flashing, unparalleled delight, whose majesty of path extends to far regions, from the Earth up to Siva, which is variegated by the display of various states of creation, maintenance, and withdrawal; and of whose extension this universe is just a minute particle.

So many amazing accomplishments. Holbert family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May you all find some comfort and healing. My 2nd family growing up, you had such a huge impact on me and I will always treasure that.
Thank you for this, BFFF. Blessings to you and your family.
I’ve now inhabited this rock for 40 years, and in that time, there are a handful of people that I would consider ‘significant’ to my understanding of the world and my place in it. Gregg may very well be at the top of that list. I rarely come across people of his caliber… people who keep the cosmic connection into adulthood. The insatiable curiosity and consequent realization of who we are and what we are. That shared essence, only available to those of us who never stop asking fundamental questions and who never stop exploring the mental landscape to find a deeper understanding of the nature of reality and existence. To the stars, he returns.
“To the stars, he returns. So True. thank you for your kind comments. Shelley
